Hazel Park Promise Zone
and college access network

The Hazel Park Promise Zone and College Access Network is committed to revitalizing the Hazel Park community by increasing its educational attainment and making it an attractive destination for families. We do this by offering a tuition-free path to an associate's degree to resident graduates of Hazel Park Schools and by recruiting and providing college and career preparatory programs to support Hazel Park students.

College adviser Moussa Traore accepts the Ombudsman Award from Michigan College Access Network board chairwoman Sharlonda Buckman.
We are ecstatic to congratulate our own college adviser, Moussa Traore, for being honored as one of three Ombudsman Award winners at this years Statewide College Access Impact Awards dinner by the Michigan College Access Network! This award recognizes individuals whose passion for college access helped them persevere over challenges to make significant contributions to their communities while engaged as college advisers. Throughout his time at HPHS, "Mr. T" has maintained a tireless dedication to each and every student. He has engaged in the community in a variety of ways, including coaching soccer, and he assisted the class of 2017 in setting a new record for scholarship offers made to a graduating HPHS class. CONGRATULATIONS, MOUSSA!
